More vandalism at our sleeping pitch
In the blog of 1 August I published Declan's judicial review pre-action letter to the Commissioner of Police for the City of London and Home Secretary. Technically Declan can file for judicial review tomorrow, having waited 14 days for a response that has not come. A few hours after I posted Declan's pre-action letter, we came back to a rough sleeping pitch drenched with diesel (see yesterday's blog, City of London Police: Declan's facts to be relied on for judicial review). Last night it was the tiny public garden around the corner from our sleeping pitch that got vandalised. For more than three months now we have been using this garden to sit out at night, and knew that this was a stitch up for a serious complaint and another police stop/search in the middle of the night, even a hosing by street cleaners. Within the last couple of weeks we have not only had our sleeping pitch drenched with diesel, but it has been drowned with gallons of heavy duty deep cleaning product.
We cleaned the mess to the best of our ability and put all the garbage in two of our own bags, which Declan then dropped off at a rubbish point.
This was taken today at 6am:
I took this photo of our sleeping pitch yesterday morning at 6.20am just before leaving:
