Our sleeping pitch drenched with diesel
A few hours after I published Declan's judicial review Letter before claim to the Commissioner of Police for the City of London and the Home Secretary in the previous blog, we arrived at our sleeping pitch on a derelict St Alphage Highwalk at the back of Salters' Hall in the City of London only to find what smelt like fresh diesel splashed from one end of the porch to another. Three days ago it was gallons of heavy duty deep cleaning product (see blog Police send in street cleaners to our sleeping pitch), which was equally difficult to remove. City of London Police Commissioner Adrian Leppard has 14 days to answer Declan's pre-action letter so we are braced for what is in store for us over the next couple of weeks in particular.
Just before leaving at 6.30am I took this photo. We were able to remove the diesel, or other such foul-smelling substance, but marks remain:
I took this photo on 29 July and it shows the porch in perfect working order.
